During these difficult times, we are striving to assist our customers in any way we can. We understand the need to limit in person contact. We understand our crucial role in the final touchpoint of a transaction in implementing social distancing in the settlement services industry. As per CDC recommendations, small business can play an important role in limiting the spread of COVID and yet maintaining productivity.

Here are some steps The Closing Company, Inc. is taking and options available to reduce risk of transmission during these challenging times:

Remote online notarization (“RON”):  How can you avoid contact altogether? We are partnered with America’s top innovator for remote online notarization (also known as “RON”). We can quickly schedule a remote notary webcam signing.  Using a webcam and laptop,  buyers, sellers and borrowers may execute their documents via a webcam notarization. This is permissible in FL and many other states and legally acceptable and recordable. Subject to lender approval and additional costs apply.

Remote Notary Signer: If a client prefers a a notary closer to sign them at their home or work. Additional cost will apply and the request is subject to provider availability.

Office Signing Precautions: If you will be signing at our office, we request only required signers attend closing. You Closer will be wearing a mask and gloves and we request clients wear a mask and gloves and sanitize prior to arrival.  We will expedite signing to limit contact time, so please review all your documents in advance via email.
